Carolyn's motto used to be, “Rather than a teacher who happens to paint, I find myself becoming a painter who happens to teach.” Since taking an early retirement from teaching, her motto has become her reality. “The theme of nature (landscapes and florals) which my paintings deal with, is sometimes representational and other times more impressionistic or even abstract. For the past several years, I have been adding various types of rice papers or powdered charcoal to most of my paintings. Through my paintings I hope to share with others my love for the textures born of nature.” Her paintings are owned by collectors throughout the United States.
